Carers Gloucestershire
• Carers Gloucestershire asked me to get to the cause of their fundraising problems and deliver the 
solution.  I identified the issues, devised a highly practical solution including the development of their fundraising and the appointment of a Head of Fundraising. I designed the entire assessment process, advised on the appointment then coached the CEO and the Head of Fundraising over the first few months of the appointment.


Chief Executive  – Cotswold Care Hospice


Chief Executive of a hospice providing day care, hospice at home and education with a staff of 100 and over 600 volunteers. Day to day management of senior management team of 7
• Increased turnover from £1.2m – £2.7m in 4 years, growing staff from 40 to 98
• Grew retail from 7 shops to 14 and increased efficiency to treble profit
• Introduced management controls including strategies, business plans, linked to departmental and individual contribution plans with KPI’s and balanced scorecards
• Developed media strategy leading to a 7 fold increase in organisational media appearances


Director – GCAB – Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind


Director of a local charity for the visually impaired with 12 staff and 170 volunteers
• Rationalised service provision and cut red tape freeing staff up to work with 30% more visually impaired people in a year
• Revitalised fundraising, doubled income from trusts within 18 months
• Recognised that visually impaired groups within Gloucestershire weren’t speaking with a united voice so brought 40 organisations together to speak to statutory funders directly increasing the amount of funds available to VI clients by over £200,000
• Led organisation through award of Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award For Voluntary Service -2006
